Just some pros and cons of the bike and any issues that the bike has. I might be getting one but i do not know yet so we will see just testing the waters.
thanks,

relatively frequent service interval on them
neat bikes....I like the look but purists don't
if it isn't a LOT cheaper than an 848 or 1098 then I'd have a tough time justifying it
personally I'd love to have a 749R....one of the best turning bikes EVER

Depends on the price. Also the 03-04 models didn't have the taps on the swingarm for spools. They upgraded the swingarms in 05. Service intervals every 6k miles. They didn't have the electrical problems that the 748 had.
I love the look of that bike... it just screams I'm :pimp:

Well, I found a 2004 Ducati 749S Biposta for $7,495 and it only has 1781 miles! Blue book price is way higher that that and this is on sale from a dealer nearby. The other low price bike there is the 2007 Honda CBR1000RR but that one is around 8500 miles and the price is $6,495. This dealer rather have you buy the Ducs cause they said there can finance but the Jap bikes are cash only bikes.

that sounds like a very good price for an "S" model

why not sell your bike yourself to get what you need out of it then go buy that bike?

I tried but it seems like no one is interested. Locally I would sell it for 4800 and I thought trade in was 4000. Right now I saw blue book at 4800 and I would sell it in a heart beat if someone said 4500.
plus they have another one but with 12k miles a little more beat up with termo exhaust, see through belt cover and open clutch disc/rizoma.

12k miles isn't that much... I did that last year on my 2000 748. I passed 36k on yesterdays group ride :tripeo:
