So the SCAB (Southern California Area Buellers) group met today at Cook's Corner to discuss new meeting times and locations. Also among the topics of discussion was the breakup of BRAG. The consensus is good all around.

It was a brief meeting and a bit short on attendance, but we had a raffle anyway and I won this beautiful timing cover, courtesy of American Sportbike (http://www.americansportbike.com/)

Also, I bolted up the camera mount and viddy'd a run up to the top of Ortega Highway, which I'll try and post either tonight or tomorrow morning. Vibration makes the camera do some funny stuff but theres a lot of nice footage.

I just picked Maggie up from work and she said they had 6 code traumas from Ortega Highway and one code blue. All motorcyclists. The code blue was a head on where a cager came over the line on a blind corner. The car proceeded down the embankment into a ravine, where the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot, leaving a woman and small child behind. Onlookers who witnessed the event took to their feet and bounded heroically down the side and subdued the perpetrator, using the "appropriate" force. He is now a patient in the trauma center where his victim died from his injuries.

The day was young yet, and the upper parking lot had to be cleared in order for the oversized sherriff's helicoptor to land along with one regular helipad followed by another on the helipad.

Code Traumas, another code Blue, a code White and a massive stroke.

Just another day at the Mission Hospital Regional Trauma Center. My wife is my hero.

Awesome, I can get to this at work...
Your wife is a "True American Hero", we need to get her her own Buddweiser Commercial.

I am interested to see this video. My camera didn't work, so I sold it. I am going to buy a cheaper one once I make sure I will be able to upload it to the computer.

Props on winning that timing cover! Is that black anodized? (doesn't look chrome to me...then again, maybe I am color blind.)

Code White is a code Blue for someone under 18 years of age. They got all kinds of crazy codes here, Mission does things their way.

Yes it's black anodized, I think it will look great after I polish my entire motor.

I have to open my computer up and reinstall my video input card, so I hope I get it done before I split.

Polishing the entire motor sounds like fun.
But how are you going to do that without risking unreasonable downtime?
You don't have snow there... do you? Year Round Fun!!!

I'm back from my vacation, and the idea of polishing my entire motor was only in jest.

I'll try and get that video posted up tomorrow sometime, I'm beat from driving almost 800 miles in the Focus today. (yesterday actually, it's 1am now)

got some cool pics too, i'll post em up after I sort through all of them.

for now i'll be counting sheep.
